Not Feeling It

There’s a good amount of times you just won’t feel like doing what you’re supposed to be doing. That’s how I’m feeling when writing this post. I’m not really in the mood and right would prefer to be doing something else, even though there really isn’t much for me to do right now since this is my main focus. I woke up this morning, took a normal shower and sat in front of my laptop feeling uninspired to write. I went back to sleep not too long after and woke up again feeling the same.

Yet here I am, writing this post regardless. I decided that even though I didn’t feel like it, I’d start writing about this topic in hopes that the words would come to me…and here they are.

In essence, don’t give up for the day just because you don’t feel like it. At the very least, try. If you still don’t feel like it, don’t push yourself too hard, you’re allowed to take days off in exchange for committing yourself to do the work on a better day. I’ve done that too and I don’t regret a thing. The most important part is consistency; missing a day is missing a little bit of consistency, but not enough to make a difference in the big picture. If you miss 10 days out of 30, you’re still on a great track. You’ll keep improving and you won’t be penalized for those 10 days in the long run if you keep on going.

Just keep on keeping on really.
