Continued Motivation

So, as you know, I haven’t posted much in the last couple months. This is because I’ve been working on a bunch of different projects now and things have gotten really busy. But I’ll promise now that I’ll do my best to keep active and really make this blog a priority.

I think one of things that I know I need to work on is continued motivation. I often tend to be passionate about an idea for a while, but, in time, the passion slowly but surely falls off until I am doing something else completely different from what my original idea was.

This isn’t really a bad thing at all per say, but at the same time it is. The reason is simple: There’s no consistency, thus there can never be an established foundation that I can work from.

Let’s say I took this blog seriously from day 1 (which was actually sometime last year) till now. I would’ve no doubt have gotten at least a few thousand reads per month…which is amazing considering I have just a few hundred right now. With those few thousands reads per month, the audience will continue to grow and I will then have the opportunity to monetize this platform to let it start earning for me. So really and truly this blog could’ve already had been doing some great things if I was consistent with it.

I’ve learned this lesson multiple times over the years but it still hasn’t fully stuck in my head how important real consistency is. But I’m trying, and I’m trying my best.

I hope that this post also helps you to reflect on what you’re doing or what you’d like to do that you aren’t consistent about, and to change that for the better. It takes time yes, but after you look back when you’ve finished the hard part of this journey you’ll appreciate every moment you took to put in the work required to reach where you are now.

It will happen, it just takes time….and consistency.
